Ex-Employee Files Unpaid OT Suit Against Griffin Parking Area Maintenance

Hillsborough County, Florida’s Griffin Parking Area Maintenance, Inc. is the defendant in a former employee’s proposed class action that alleges he and other daily paid employees are owed unpaid overtime wages dating back three years. The case claims the defendant, a company that provides street sweeping, dust control and construction sweeping services, failed to comply the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) by failing to pay time-and-a-half hourly overtime wages to employees who worked more than 40 hours during “numerous pay periods.”
