Two employees of the City of San Diego have filed suit against their employer alleging that the defendant failed to properly calculate their overtime wages.
Two employees of the City of San Diego have filed suit against their employer alleging that the defendant failed to properly calculate their overtime wages. According to the complaint, the city paid the plaintiffs cash “in lieu of providing or paying medical and related insurance premiums.” The suit argues that these payments were not taken into account when the plaintiffs’ overtime wages were calculated, which should have amounted to one-and-a-half times their “regular” rate of pay.
