A class action over alleged Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) violations has been filed in New York against JMFF LLC, the operators of Dorlan’s Tavern & Oyster Bar, and its owners and managers. According to the 21-page complaint, the plaintiff, a former cleaning porter, regularly worked in excess of 40 hours per week—usually between 68 and 76 hours a week, according to the complaint—without receiving overtime or New York-mandated spread-of-hours pay. The plaintiff claims he received a fixed salary regardless of how many hours he worked.
