The owning and operating company of Florida's Las Palmas Restaurant is on the receiving end of a proposed class action.
The owning and operating company of Miami-Dade County, Florida’s Las Palmas Restaurant, C.W.C. of Miami Inc., and one individual with day-to-day oversight of the business is on the receiving end of a proposed class action filed over alleged wage and hour violations. The case claims the plaintiff worked an average of 50 hours per week for the defendants as an inventory stocker and deliveryman between December 2015 and February 2017, but was not paid at the mandatory minimum threshold for hourly wages and did not receive time-and-a-half overtime pay for hours worked past 40.
