A proposed class action filed against White Plains, New York-based restaurant Crossroads Super Buffet Inc. (which operates as Super Buffet) and its owner claims employees were not paid proper minimum and overtime wages. The plaintiff, who worked for the defendants as a dishwasher, food preparer and handyman, alleges he was not paid at the time-and-a-half hourly rate for all hours worked over 40 in a week (as called for by the Fair Labor Standards Act) or spread-of-hours pay for days he worked a shift lasting longer than 10 hours. According to the suit, the plaintiff worked between 88 and 94 hours per week without being paid proper wages.
