An employee has filed a proposed class action against CPI Security Services, Inc, Complete Protection & Investigations, Inc. and the companies’ ownership claiming he and similarly situated workers are owed unpaid overtime under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Filed in Oklahoma, the lawsuit argues proposed class members (non-exempt security personnel) frequently worked more than 40 hours per week for the defendants—sometimes as many as 70 to 80 hours per week—without being paid at the time-and-a-half hourly overtime rate.
