Bridgehampton Stone, Inc., its successor-in-interest, and two owners of the companies are facing a proposed class action lawsuit that claims they failed to pay their employees proper overtime wages. The plaintiff alleges that he worked for the defendants as a construction worker for more than 50 hours per week, but was not compensated at all for the hours he worked above 40 each week. The suit further argues that employees were not provided with proper wage statements that detailed their hours and rates of pay. According to the complaint, Bridgehampton implemented these illegal policies and practices “so as to maximize their profits while minimizing their labor costs.”
