Two plaintiffs have put their names on a proposed collective action that claims commercial painting company Lucas Designs Incorporated and its owner failed to pay workers proper wages. The lawsuit claims the plaintiffs, who worked for the defendants until August 2016, worked six days per week for sometimes as many as 12 hours per day without being paid at the time-and-a-half hourly overtime rate for hours worked over 40. The case says the defendants’ painters regularly worked 15 to 20 overtime hours per week without proper compensation.
