ABC Corp., the owning and operating company that does business as Che Bella Pizza, and the restaurant’s owner and manager are on the receiving end of a proposed class action lawsuit over alleged federal and state wage violations. The former food preparer who filed the 22-page lawsuit claims he worked between 10 and 11 hours per day for a total of between 60 and 66 hours per week without being paid time-and-a-half overtime wages, spread-of-hours pay, or proper minimum wages. The suit says the plaintiff was paid in cash throughout his employment and was never provided any paystubs or wage statements.
