Capitol Marketing Concepts, Inc. is facing claims that it violated the Fair Labor Standards Act by failing to pay employees proper overtime wages and retaliating against a worker for complaining about the allegedly illegal pay practices. A proposed class action has been filed against the company by a former employee who says she often worked more than 40 hours per week, but did not receive time-and-a-half overtime compensation for the weekly hours she worked in excess of 40. She claims she voiced her concerns about the defendant’s pay policies to management and was then terminated in retaliation.
