Body Sculpt Hit with Wage and Hour Suit in Georgia

Body Sculpt International, LLC (which does business as Sono Bello and Body Sculpt of Atlanta) has been hit with a proposed collective action over the way the company pays some of its employees. The defendant positions itself as a “national leader in laser liposuction and total body transformation” that provides a “team of highly skilled and trained physicians, [who] specialize in total body transformation, including body contouring and facial lifting.” The company also employs “consultants” who handle tasks like traveling patient care and sales. According to the suit, the company failed to pay these consultants proper overtime wages for their extra hours, including the thirty minutes spent working before the clinic opened.
