The operating entity of Miami-Dade County, Florida-based Bahor Restaurant, and a handful of others are the defendants in a proposed class action.
The operating entity of Miami-Dade County, Florida-based Bahor Restaurant, OBK Center Corporation, and one individual who “controlled the purse strings” for the eatery are the defendants in a proposed class action filed over allegedly unpaid overtime wages. The plaintiff, a former cook, says he was paid a flat rate regardless of how many hours he worked without being paid at the time-and-a-half hourly overtime rate for each hour worked past 40 in a week. According to the lawsuit, the plaintiff is owed back pay for approximately 430 overtime hours for which he was paid at a straight-time rate.
