Private substance abuse treatment facility A.R.E.B.A.-Casriel, Inc. and its CEO and president are the defendants in a proposed class action over allegedly unpaid overtime wages. The lawsuit was filed in New York, where the defendants’ facilities are located, by a former employee who worked as a certified alcoholism and substance abuse counselor. The plaintiff alleges she frequently worked more than 40 hours per week without being paid for all hours worked, including for pre- and post-shift off-the-clock duties and time spent working during unpaid meal and rest periods.
