Lacher et al v. Aramark Corporation
Filed: February 19, 2019 ◆§ 2:19cv687
Aramark Corporation is on the receiving end of a proposed class action wherein two managers claim the food, facilities, and uniform services company failed to pay promised bonuses for the fiscal year 2018.
Aramark Corporation is on the receiving end of a proposed class action wherein two managers claim the food, facilities, and uniform services company failed to pay promised bonuses for the fiscal year 2018.
According to the 44-page complaint, Aramark repeatedly assured its managers that they would be paid according to either the FY2018 Management Incentive Bonus Plan or the FY2018 Front Line Manager Bonus Plan, depending on their particular Career Band, which ranges from Career Band 1 to Career Band 8.
Per the plaintiffs, both managers claim they received an email at the beginning of December 2018 in which Aramark stated that bonuses, though “historically paid in December,” would instead be paid in February 2019. At the end of January, the case goes on, the plaintiffs and other managers received another email that promised that their bonuses would be paid on February 15.
Nevertheless, when February rolled around, the lawsuit alleges, the plaintiffs received another email wherein Aramark informed them that bonuses would not be paid for fiscal year 2018. The two men claim they are owed $40,000 and $10,000, respectively.
The lawsuit argues that Aramark breached its contracts with managers by promising in offer letters and at various other times that they would receive bonuses, and then failing to deliver on those promises.
