Alpine Cleaners, Inc., which does business as Alpine Cleaners & Laundromat in New York City, and its owners are the defendants in a proposed collective action filed by three former employees who say they are owed unpaid wages. The case claims the defendants failed to pay workers minimum wages, proper time-and-a-half overtime wages, and spread-of-hours wages, and also failed to maintain accurate recordkeeping of employees’ work hours.
The plaintiffs allege they worked as many as 63 hours per week without being paid wages pursuant to the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
