Attorneys working with ClassAction.org would like to speak with people who have experienced charging or battery problems with the following NuFACE products:
· Trinity Facial Toning Device
· Mini Facial Toning Device
· FIX Line Smoothing Device
· NuBODY Body Toning Device
They’re looking into whether a defect is behind reports that the microcurrent skincare gadgets, most of which go for several hundred dollars, can become inoperable earlier than expected after failing to charge, hold a charge or power on. If so, they may be able to file a class action lawsuit on behalf of consumers who purchased the devices.
Broken NuFACE Devices: Consumers Complain
A number of complaints have been posted online from consumers who say their NuFACE products stopped turning on or charging properly. In some instances, the issues persist even after customers have followed the troubleshooting process suggested by moderators on NuFACE.com. A sampling of these complaints can be found below [sic throughout]:
I charged the NuFACE (lights show full charge). When I take it off the cradle it turns on but then immediately turns off. I reset it following the instructions. Still has the same problem. Incredibly disappointed ...”

I bought the NuFace Trinity Toning Device from Nordstroms about 3 months ago. It’s kept in a cool, dry place. . . I’ve been careful to use only as directed. Picked it up to use and it simply will not turn on. I’m super ticked! All said and done, I paid around $500 for the toning device and attachments. For an item at this price point to be faulty and stop working so soon after so few uses is unacceptable.”

I read the reviews about the device not working shortly after purchasing but bought it anyway. I should have taken their advice, mine will no longer turn on after just three uses! I am very disappointed in this device and in the company.”

Was so excited I was told it would take a bit to see results and when I started to... It Broke just after a month. Has been charging for 24 hours and does not keep the charge at all.. Won’t turn on at all. Very disappointed.”

purchased a few months and one day just stopped working, doesnt charge anymore or charges for a few min then turns off. disgraceful quality for such an expensive product”
— DD81, NuFACE.com
Attempted to charge my device and it will no longer charge. Reached out to the company and was told I was outside of the one-year warranty. Apparently the only option is to purchase a brand new device. Very disappointing as I used the product a maximum of 30 times.”

How Could a Class Action Help?
A successful class action lawsuit could help consumers get back some of the money they spent on the microcurrent devices, receive a free replacement and/or force NuFACE to find a permanent fix for the issue.
