The Age of the Data Breach Over the past several years, we’ve unfortunately entered an era where data breaches are the norm. Just last week, Capital One announced a new data breach, and now the Equifax saga is coming to an end with a $671 million settlement that’s awaiting final approval from a judge. In addition to what the Equifax settlement means for you, this issue also touches on the potential problems with keyless ignitions and a closer look at the settlement process as a whole. Read on for more. - Ty Armstrong, Writer/Community Manager | Attorneys believe that cars with keyless ignitions may be unreasonably dangerous – especially for senior citizens – due to the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning when the vehicles are unknowingly left running in owners’ garages. A class action lawsuit could help force car manufacturers to come up with a solution to the problem and compensate people for overpaying for potentially dangerous vehicles. If this sounds like something that you’ve had a problem with, even if you didn’t get carbon monoxide poisoning after leaving your keyless ignition running, share your story here. |
Reports have surfaced that Dunlop D402 motorcycle tires have been linked to nearly two dozen injuries and several fatalities. There are plenty of complaints online about these specific tires, but the manufacturer (Goodyear) is blaming premature tire failure on riders – claiming that they overinflated the tires or put to much weight on the bike. Goodyear has faced nearly a dozen personal injury lawsuits in relation to the tires, but a recall has never been issued. If you’ve had trouble with your Dunlop D402 tires, you may be able to help hold Goodyear accountable. Learn more here. |
