For instance, it could be illegal for a hotel to charge a resort fee that covers bike rentals when the property doesn’t have enough bikes for its 500 guests to reasonably be able to use them. Learn more about the investigation here. | Tom’s of Maine Sued Over Kid’s Toothpaste The proposed class action lawsuit alleges the company has failed to disclose that its “Silly Strawberry”-flavored Kid’s Natural Fluoride-Free Toothpaste is contaminated with unsafe levels of lead and arsenic. According to the case, Amazon collects “incredibly sensitive” information from millions of unsuspecting individuals, including data that exposes where they live, work and otherwise frequent. This page has the details. | Ford is on the receiving end of a proposed class action in the wake of its recall of nearly 273,000 newer Bronco Sport and Maverick models equipped with 12-volt batteries made by Camel Group (USA) Battery. The suit, which says the faulty batteries can cause sudden power loss and vehicle stalling, argues that the recall has left “more questions than answers” regarding the cars’ safety and that the value of the affected models has been diminished.
