| ~ In Other News ~ Many parents are constantly on the lookout for healthy snacks for their children, and a recently filed lawsuit is claiming that LesserEvil’s Lil’ Puffs may not be the answer. According to the case, independent lab testing showed that one serving of the snack contained 2.427 micrograms of lead. The lawsuit looks to cover all individuals in the United States, except California, who bought LesserEvil Lil’ Puffs snacks. You can find the details here. | New proposed settlements have been reached in litigation alleging real estate brokerage firms and the National Association of Realtors (NAR) required home sellers to pay inflated total commissions to real estate brokers or agents in violation of antitrust law. In the most recent deals, NAR and Home Services of America (also known as Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices) have agreed to pay at least $418 million and $250 million, respectively – bringing the total value of all settlements with these and other defendants to over $980 million. If you sold a home that was listed on a multiple listing service anywhere in the U.S. during a certain date range and paid a commission to any real estate brokerage in connection with the home sale, you may be entitled to a payment.
