Florida
BPCL Management, LLC (formerly known as Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line, LLC) is facing a Florida woman’s claims that the company violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act by placing autodialed telemarketing calls to consumers’ cell phones without their prior consent. The defendant, which does business as Bahama Island Cruises and is dubbed “the marketing arm” of the M/S Grand Celebration cruise line, allegedly called the plaintiff’s cell phone number with a prerecorded message. The woman claims she never provided the company with her consent to receive the robocall and “has never had any type of relationship” with the defendant, rendering the call illegal under the TCPA.
