University of Southern California George Tyndall, M.D. Board of Trustees of The University of Southern California
California
Fifteen more named and unnamed plaintiffs have sued the University of Southern California (USC), its board of trustees, and George Tyndall, M.D. over Tyndall’s alleged propensity to use his “position of trust” as an on-campus gynecologist to engage in “sexual abuse, molestation, and unwanted touching” of female patients. The 55-page proposed class action is the second such suit in as many months to be filed against the defendants and claims the university and its trustees were aware of Tyndall’s inappropriate conduct while taking “no steps to stop it as it occurred.” According to the Los Angeles Police Department, which has commenced a criminal probe into the allegations, at least 52 misconduct complaints were filed by Tyndall’s patients, with many more expected to come forward given the doctor’s 30-year career.
The lawsuit seeks to cover all women who were examined by George Tyndall at the University of Southern California.
