A lawsuit filed in Virginia alleges U.S. Xpress called consumers' cell phones without permission.
A proposed class action lawsuit has been filed in Virginia on behalf of consumers nationwide who have received illegal robocalls allegedly placed by defendant U.S. Xpress, Inc. The lawsuit alleges U.S. Xpress called the plaintiff’s cell phone without prior express consent on at least four occasions between August and October 2017. The case claims the calls were placed in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), as the plaintiff says they came through an automatic telephone dialing system for non-emergency purposes.
