Connecticut
Gorss Motels, Inc., the plaintiff in numerous lawsuits stemming from alleged Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) violations, is behind another proposed class action, this time alleging three new defendants unlawfully sent junk fax messages without consent.
The lawsuit claims defendants Williams & Williams Marketing Services, Inc.; Williams, Williams & McKissick, LLC; and Williams, Williams & McKissick Auction Services, LLC violated the TCPA’s junk fax prevention provision by sending unsolicited advertisement faxes to at least 40 other recipients. The faxes allegedly did not contain mandatory opt-out language, leaving recipients no way of avoiding the unwanted messages.
