A California woman has filed a proposed class action against Department Stores National Bank, FDS Bank, and Macy's Incorporated for alleged violations of the TCPA.
A California woman has filed a proposed class action against Department Stores National Bank, FDS Bank, and Macy’s Incorporated for alleged violations of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). The lawsuit claims the defendants “regularly engage in aggressive and reckless debt collection practices,” particularly by making repeated unsolicited phone calls to consumers using an automatic dialing system. Even after the plaintiff informed the defendants that she did not wish to be called anymore and was not the person they were trying to reach, the calls allegedly continued.
