DCG Partners LLC (which does business as Debtrid.com) and Consumer Law Relief, LLC are on the receiving end of a proposed class action lawsuit.
DCG Partners LLC (which does business as Debtrid.com) and Consumer Law Relief, LLC are on the receiving end of a proposed class action lawsuit that alleges violations of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. The plaintiff in the case claims the companies, which provide credit counseling services, placed a telemarketing call to his cell phone using automated dialing technology without first obtaining his express consent. According to the suit, the man never provided the defendants with his cell phone number and did not have a prior business relationship with either of them. He says the call was an invasion of his privacy and caused him “aggravation and distress.”
