Financial Corporation of America is facing a proposed class action lawsuit filed by a man who claims he received several prerecorded calls from the defendant regarding an alleged debt he did not owe.
Georgia
Financial Corporation of America is facing a proposed class action lawsuit that alleges violations of both the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. The man who filed the case, a Georgia resident, claims he received several prerecorded calls from the defendant regarding an alleged debt he did not owe. According to the suit, the plaintiff informed the defendant on at least one occasion that he was not the party it was attempting to reach and asked it to stop calling him. Nevertheless, the complaint says, the calls continued despite the plaintiff never having provided his consent to receive them or having a prior business relationship with the defendant.
