A proposed class action alleges defendant Tallahassee Dodge Chrysler Jeep, LLC violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) by sending automated telemarketing text messages to consumers without first obtaining prior express permission to do so. Alleging Tallahassee Dodge Chrysler Jeep showed “little regard” for consumers’ privacy, the complaint claims the defendant used an automated text-messaging platform to market its new and used cars while “causing disruption” to the plaintiff and proposed class members’ daily lives.
