Client Services, Inc. has been named as the defendant in a proposed class action lawsuit that claims it violated the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). The plaintiff says she received a letter from the debt collector that stated: “On the date you make payment, the balance due may be greater because of interest or other charges.” The suit argues that the letter fails to disclose the interest rate, the date of accrual, or any other details revealing how the interest will be calculated. As a result, the plaintiff says she is unable to determine the true amount of her alleged debt and cannot take any calculated actions to settle it.
