Store Capital Corporation has been hit with a class action claiming some of real estate investment trust's facilities are not compliant with the ADA.
Store Capital Corporation has been hit with a class action claiming some of real estate investment trust’s facilities are not compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The plaintiff, who is wheelchair-bound, claims properties owned by the defendants in Pennsylvania and Iowa pose an unnecessarily difficult risk because of excessive slopes found in purportedly van-accessible parking spaces and access aisles. Furthermore, the plaintiff claims the parking lots of some of the plaintiffs’ facilities have no designated van-accessible parking spaces at all.
