Customer survey company SQM Group has been hit with a class action alleging it harasses consumers with automated robocalls.
Customer survey firm SQM Group, Inc. is facing a proposed class action that claims its alleged practice of harassing consumers with automated robocalls violates the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). The New Jersey consumer who filed the action alleges the defendant called him while at work even though he had no prior relationship with nor provided his phone number to the company. The case alleges the robocalls were placed with an automatic telephone dialing system that utilizes a prerecorded message.
