Maceda v. Charter Communications, Inc. et al
Filed: August 28, 2018 ◆§ 5:18cv452
A lawsuit claims that Charter Communications and Bright House Networks repeatedly contacted a consumer without her prior written consent.
Florida
Charter Communications, Inc. and subsidiary Bright House Networks, LLC—who own and operate telecommunications company Spectrum—are the defendants in a lawsuit that claims the companies repeatedly contacted a consumer without her prior written consent.
The plaintiff, whose phone number is registered with the national Do Not Call registry, alleges that in June 2018 she received multiple unsolicited calls and text messages from the defendants promoting Spectrum TV and Internet services. The defendants, in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), failed to obtain the plaintiff’s prior express written consent to receive the calls, which were placed with an automatic telephone dialing system, the case claims.
