A class action claims the auto insurance company repeatedly robocalled consumers' cell phones without permission to do so.
Auto insurance outfit SafeGuardCasualty.com Inc. is the defendant in a proposed class action in which the plaintiff claims the company repeatedly placed auto-dialed phone calls to consumers’ cell phones without consent. The lawsuit states the defendant routinely engages in mass telemarketing campaigns in which the company uses automatic dialing equipment to reach consumers. The plaintiff claims that despite asking Safe Guard Casualty to stop calling, she has sometimes received up to 13 robocalls in one day from the defendant from various numbers.
