Ozier v. REV-1 Solutions LLC
Filed: January 25, 2017 ◆§ 2:17-cv-00118-JPS
REV-1 Solutions, LLC is facing a proposed class action claiming it violated the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
A proposed class action filed over alleged violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) claims defendant REV-1 Solutions, LLC, sent three collection notices to the plaintiff that were unclear about the amount of debt the defendant was attempting to collect. The plaintiff claims the first and third notices stated amounts of $26.30, while the second stated $66.93. The FDCPA requires debt collectors to clearly state the correct amount owed by debtors and prohibits any “false representation or deceptive means to collect or attempt to collect any debt.”
