Smith v. NRT LLC
Filed: December 18, 2017 ◆§ 3:17-cv-02523-CAB-WVG
A lawsuit claims the country's largest residential real estate brokerage firm robocalled consumer without obtaining consent to do so.
NRT LLC is the defendant in a proposed class action in which the plaintiff alleges the country’s largest residential real estate brokerage firm broke the law by using an automatic telephone dialer to place telemarketing calls to consumers without consent. Alleging Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) violations, the plaintiff states she is unaware of how NRT—which operates Realogy Holdings Corporation brands Coldwell Banker and Sotheby’s International, among others—obtained her phone number, and was given no explanation when she spoke with one of the company’s representatives.
