A proposed class action lawsuit out of Wisconsin against Persolve, LLC and Crown Asset Management, LLC alleges the companies ran afoul of the FDCPA in collection notices.
A proposed class action lawsuit out of Wisconsin against Persolve, LLC, which does business as Account Resolution Associates, and Crown Asset Management, LLC claims the companies violated the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and the Wisconsin Consumer Act. The consumer behind the case alleges the debt collector defendants engaged in collection activities without a Wisconsin Collection Agency License from the state’s Office of the Administrator of the Division of Banking.
The lawsuit notes the defendants, in a phone conversation with the plaintiff’s counsel, noted the companies did not have a Wisconsin debt collector’s license on the date they sent the plaintiff a collection notice.
