California
Pacific Collections Credit Bureau is on the receiving end of a proposed class action lawsuit that takes issue with allegedly contradictory collection letters the defendant sent to a California consumer. The letters, both marked with a date of January 10, 2018, supposedly stated the plaintiff’s balance as $124.72 and $132.36, respectively. Upon reading the notices, the case alleges, the plaintiff was unsure as to which, if either, of the amounts was the correct amount of debt.
