Filed: May 30, 2017 ◆§ 1:17-cv-03227
Credit Corp Solutions Inc. (which does business as Tasman Credit) has been hit with a proposed class action alleging that it sends 'misleading' collection letters.
New York
Credit Corp Solutions Inc. (which does business as Tasman Credit) has been hit with a proposed class action lawsuit alleging that it sends “misleading” collection letters. The plaintiff in the case claims that she received a letter from Tasman containing a balance she supposedly owed to a creditor. According to the complaint, the letter neglected to indicate whether the balance would remain static or increase as a result of accruing interest or other fees. The suit argues that the defendant’s omission of required information allowed the letter to be open to multiple interpretations and left the plaintiff unable to determine the true amount of her alleged debt.
