A New York law firm has filed separate class action lawsuits against Red Lobster and Legal Sea Foods claiming the restaurants' websites do not comply with the ADA.
A New York law firm has filed separate class action lawsuits against Red Lobster and Legal Sea Foods claiming the restaurants’ websites do not comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The plaintiffs who filed the suits, both legally blind, claim the defendants’ websites violate the rights of visually impaired and disabled individuals because they contain barriers that hamper the use of accessibility software. Because Legalseafoods.com and Redlobster.com rely on exclusively visual digital interfaces, the lawsuits allege, it is nearly impossible for visually disabled individuals to navigate the sites independently or make transactions.
