NRA Group, LLC (also known as National Recovery Agency, Inc.) is facing a proposed class action that alleges it charged an illegal fee for online credit card payments.
New York
NRA Group, LLC (also known as National Recovery Agency, Inc.) is on the receiving end of a proposed class action that alleges it charged an illegal fee for online credit card payments. The plaintiff claims he attempted to make a payment on the debt collector’s website and was informed that a $7.95 convenience fee would be added to his payment. The suit argues that this extra fee is illegal under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act because it was not authorized by the creditor or “the agreement creating the debt.”
