Filed: April 27, 2018 ◆§ 9:18cv80529
Nortek Security & Control LLC and Security Specialist of America LLC have been named in a proposed class action alleging violations of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.
Florida
Nortek Security & Control LLC and Security Specialist of America LLC have been named in a proposed class action alleging violations of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). The plaintiff in the case says she received “a series of unwanted telemarketing calls” from the defendants attempting to sell her Nortek’s home security products. The calls were placed using automated dialing technology and were made without the plaintiff’s prior express consent, the suit alleges. The woman says she had no existing business relationship with the companies before receiving the calls, which the suit labels an “invasion of privacy, aggravation, and annoyance.”
