Premiere Nutrition Corporation is ringing in the new year by facing a proposed class action claiming its Joint Juice provides none of the health benefits touted by ads.
Premiere Nutrition Corporation is ringing in the new year by facing a proposed class action claiming its Joint Juice provides none of the health benefits touted by the company in advertising and marketing campaigns. The lawsuit, out of California district court, alleges the defendant’s claims of Joint Juice being a supplement that promotes healthy and flexible joints are “false, misleading, and reasonably likely to deceive” consumers.
At the heart of the suit are the defendant’s claims that the ingredient glucosamine hydrochloride helps nourish cartilage and improve joint comfort. Medical studies cited in the complaint, however, seem to indicate glucosamine hydrochloride “is not effective in providing the represented joint health benefits.”
