A California woman has filed suit against New Age Medical Clinic PA over claims that the defendant violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act by sending her illegal text message advertisements. The plaintiff says the texts contained information regarding various promotions the defendant was offering and directed her to its website. She claims she was never a customer of the defendant and never provided the company with her cell phone number “for any reason whatsoever.” The suit argues that the texts, which were sent during a period between April and September 2017, therefore violated the TCPA.
