New York
Network Recovery Services, Inc. is on the receiving end of a proposed class action lawsuit that claims the debt collector failed to clearly identify a consumer’s creditor. According to the complaint, the plaintiff received a collection letter from the defendant that listed “Client Name” as “NY Methodist Hospital” but failed to specifically label any entity as the man’s “original creditor,” “current creditor,” or “creditor to whom the debt is owed.” As a result, the suit alleges, the plaintiff was unsure as to which entity he should send his payments.
