November 16, 2021 – Lawsuit Dismissed Following Private Settlement
The lawsuit on this page was dismissed after the plaintiff notified the court in July 2017 that a private settlement had been reached with respect to his individual claims.
Accordingly, the judge dismissed the case on September 20, 2017.
National Grid USA Service Company, Inc. is on the receiving end of a proposed class action lawsuit that alleges violations of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. The plaintiff claims the energy company unlawfully called his cellular telephone multiple times without his consent using an autodialing system and a pre-recorded voice. According to the complaint, the plaintiff notified the defendant that he was not one of its customers and requested the calls stop, but continued to receive the telemarketing calls. By ignoring customers’ requests, National Grid causes them “great inconvenience” and invades their privacy, the suit claims.
