A Michigan consumer has filed a proposed class action with the aim of ending defendant National Auto Protection Corp’s alleged practice of using an automatic telephone dialing system to call consumers’ cell phones without prior express consent. Filed in federal court in Florida, the lawsuit claims the defendant, a company that offers consumers extended auto warranties, aggressively attempts to sell its products and services with unlawful robocalls, some of which are placed to numbers on the National Do Not Call Registry.
