MRS BPO, LLC is on the receiving end of a proposed class action lawsuit that claims it violated the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). The plaintiffs allege that they received debt collection letters from the defendant that noted their account balances, but failed to indicate whether the balances would change due to accruing interest or other fees. This lack of information, the suit argues, hinders the plaintiffs’ ability to determine the true amounts of their alleged debts, which the debt collector is required to communicate under the FDCPA.
