A class action alleges the online store run by YouTuber Jimmy Donaldson, known as MrBeast, has been plagued with overcharges, “mis-delivered” products and endless delays.

A proposed class action alleges the online store run by stunt-centric YouTuber Jimmy Donaldson, known as MrBeast, has been plagued with overcharges, “mis-delivered” products and seemingly endless delays.
The 22-page case out of California contends that as a result of the problems with Shop MrBeast’s operations, consumers have incurred overcharges or wrongfully delivered products, or simply not received what they paid for, without a way to get a refund or exchange.

MrBeast boasts more than 111 million subscribers to his main YouTube channel, one of the most popular worldwide, and a key part of Donaldson’s online presence are his giveaways and philanthropy, according to the suit. In recent years, the lawsuit states, MrBeast has expanded into food service and retail through ShopMrBeast.com, through which Donaldson sells, among other items, clothing, lanyards and keychains.
The case claims that although ShopMrBeast.com offers relatively little guidance on how it handles returns, the site states that returns are accepted “if there is a fault with the product/s upon delivery,” and customers are encouraged to contact the site’s support team with photos of the products, their order number and description of the problem. Per the complaint, the site also states that returns are accepted if the item or items are left unopen, adding that a full refund will be issued, including shipping costs.
According to the suit, customers who contact the support email address on ShopMrBeast.com receive an automated response stating that the support team will get back to them within 24 to 48 business hours. The filing says that customer complaints online describe “return, exchange, or refund nightmares” similar to the one experienced by the plaintiff.
“The Better Business Bureau gives Shop MrBeast 1.67 stars out of 5 and an ‘F’ rating,” the case states. “Trustpilot gives Defendants’ online shop 1.8 stars out of 5 and a ‘Poor’ rating.”
The lawsuit claims that emails sent to ShopMrBeast.com’s support address are “answered” by a company called Merligrego, a service that allows merchants to sell personalized products. Per the suit, Merligrego is located in a 12-unit apartment complex in McHenry, Illinois, and it appears that the company does not handle any shipping or delivery for MrBeast, only communications to the website’s support email address.
“In any event, Defendants either know or should have known that orders placed through their website routinely go unfulfilled, mis-fulfilled, or delayed to the point of futility,” the suit says.
In August, the plaintiff, an Independence, Kentucky resident, purchased what she believed was a size small t-shirt for $24.94, the suit states. Instead, the consumer was charged $40 and received a size 4T t-shirt, the lawsuit claims. Per the case, numerous attempts by the plaintiff to contact Beast Holdings and Revolt Enterprises, the company responsible for shipping MrBeast merchandise, have gone unanswered.
The case looks to cover all consumers in the United States who bought products from ShopMrBeast.com that were either unfulfilled or fulfilled incorrectly, or who were overcharged for their orders.
