A proposed class action over alleged violations of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) claims defendant MOMOIP LLC’s website unlawfully denies blind and visually impaired folks equal access to the company’s goods and services. The lawsuit claims the defendant, which is referred to in the 27-page complaint as Momofuku Group, operates a website that “contains numerous access barriers that make it difficult if not impossible” for blind customers to use. The plaintiff, a blind woman, says she intended to buy two gift cards from the defendant’s website, Momofuku.com, but was unable to because of its accessibility obstacles.
