Mi Numero Local has been sued by a Miami resident who claims the telecommunications company sent him unauthorized promotional text messages.
Mi Numero Local, LLC has been sued by a Miami resident who claims the telecommunications company invaded his privacy by sending him promotional text messages without authorization to do so.
From September 2018 through the following October, the plaintiff received several automated text messages from the defendant in which it offered discounts on international phone plans and promoted its services, the case says. The plaintiff alleges that the company failed to properly obtain his express written consent before contacting him through an automatic telephone dialing system. Additionally, the case notes that the man’s phone number has been listed on the National Do Not Call registry since 2009.
