Mercantile Adjustment Bureau, LLC is facing claims that it left voice messages on consumers’ phones that violated the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

Mercantile Adjustment Bureau, LLC is facing claims that it left voice messages on consumers’ phones that violated the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). The plaintiff says the defendant called him several times and left voicemails in which it failed to identify itself as a debt collector attempting to collect a debt. According to the suit, the defendant’s purposely vague messages were meant to deceive consumers into returning the calls and providing the debt collector with their personal information.
